Kunming Konggang Waste-to-Energy Plant Phase II Project Officially Signed

On May 20, the signing ceremony of Kunming Konggang Waste-to-Energy Plant Phase II Project was held at Sanfeng Environment Headquarters. Wei Qian, Deputy Secretary and Director of the Party Working Committee of the Kunming Konggang Economic Zone Management Committee, and the heads of relevant departments, Sanfeng Environment Party Committee Secretary and Director Chairman Lei Qinping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager Wang Xiaojun, and Deputy General Manager Wang Jiahong attended and witnessed the signing ceremony.

The design processing capacity of the project is 800 tons/day. It adopts the process of total waste incineration + semi-dry and dry flue gas purification + residual sanitary landfill. It is equipped with a mechanical grate furnace of 800 tons/day and a 20MW medium temperature sub-high pressure steam turbine generator set. The franchise period is 30 years (including a 2-year construction period). Counting the Phase I project of Kunming Konggang Waste-to-Energy Plant that also invested and constructed by Sanfeng Environment (completed and put into operation in 2012) in, the processing scale of the Phase II project will reach 1,800 tons/ day, effectively guaranteeing the “reduction, recycling and harmlessness” treatment of local domestic waste, and fully meeting the needs of urban development.

After the signing ceremony, the two parties had in-depth discussions and exchanges on the project construction and further government-enterprise cooperation. Wei Qian expressed his gratitude and affirmation to Sanfeng Environment, and said that all bureaus of the management committee would fully cooperate to promote the construction of the second phase of the project. He also hoped that with the continuous development of the Konggang Economic Zone, the two sides could cooperate in other projects such as medical waste treatment and further broaden the scope of cooperation between the two parties.

Before the signing ceremony, Wei Qian and his delegation also visited the manufacturing base and operation control center of Sanfeng Environmental Headquarters, and spoke highly of Sanfeng Environment equipment manufacturing and intelligent management and control.
